I am interested in understanding the underlying brain mechanism that allows us to generalize or differentiate rules in novel situations. The formation and utilization of this relational knowledge is crucial to our adaptivity in this constantly changing world. I hope to address this big question in my Phd with well-designed experimental set-up and analysis techniques.

I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Hong Kong, majoring economics and psychology. Then I moved to Nijmegen and spent my two-years pursuing the master degree in Cognitive Neuroscience at the Donders Institute. In my master internship I have worked with rats and experienced the animal model part of neuroscience. Now I am back in human research again. Having been to multiple areas/ places, my hope is that one day I will be able to connect all the dots and understand the general driving force for our learning and decision making.
